Remote Desktop Connection to Azure AD Joined Machine
Unlike Remote Desktop connections to local domains or local user accounts that leverage the domain\user account, Azure AD joined machines require a more specific username syntax.
Machines that are Azure AD joined still need to permit Remote Desktop connection, and have authorized users.
Once Remote Desktop is enabled, uncheck the network level authentication check box and attempt to connect from a remote machine.
The proper username name syntax:
password: <Azure AD password>
